Eddie Wayne Conrad, 71, of Grafton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 after battling a long illness. Born in Perkins, West Virginia, Mr. Conrad lived most of his life in Grafton.
He was formerly employed by General Plug and Manufacturing in Grafton. He enjoyed Classic Cars and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, James Conrad of Elyria and Roger Conrad of Grafton ; step-son, Kenneth Yost of Wellington; sisters, Ruth Collins of California, Edith Brown of Elyria; brother, Ernest Conrad of Elyria; and half-sister, Betty (Burns) Smith of North Ridgeville; survivors also include three grandchildren, Bridget, Karley and Dylan Conrad; and one great grandson, Camyrn.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Ruth (Reaser) Conrad in 2012; parents, Mae (Dulley) Conrad in 1983 and Doy Conrad in 1989; half sister, Blanche (Burns) Dobbins in 2005; half brother, Harold Burns in 2006; brothers, Earl T. Conrad in 2008 and Dallas G. Conrad in 2010.
At Mr. Conrad’s request, there will be no services.
Arrangements were handled by the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton.
