A Lorain man remains on the U.S. Marshals’ “Dangerous Dozen” most-wanted list.
Bruce McElroy, 31, of Lorain is wanted for a sex offender registration violation. McElroy has a long criminal history of violent charges, according to Marshals.
One new fugitive was added to the list this month to replace a case that was closed. Deitrekk Boone is a Toledo-area fugitive wanted for homicide. Boone is wanted for an incident from early December in which he is alleged to have been involved in an armed robbery of a local gym in which shots were fired and resulted in the gym owner dying from gunshot wounds.
All of the fugitives on the “Dangerous Dozen” should be considered dangerous individuals and should not be approached by the general public. If anyone has information concerning the location of these fugitives, they are encouraged to contact the Marshals toll free at (866) 4WANTED or text keyword WANTED and your tip to TIP411 (847411). Tipsters may remain anonymous and cash rewards are available for information leading to the arrest of any of these fugitives.
Since the inception of the “Dangerous Dozen” program in May 2010, the NOVFTF has apprehended or closed cases on 96 of the 107 fugitives profiled on this list. Of the 96 apprehended, 55 were a direct result of the exposure from the media and assistance of the public.
