Gail P. Kreps-Winterfield (nee Patrick), 72, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, January 20, 2013, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 24, 1940 in Cleveland. Gail had been a resident of Lorain County since 1961.
She was a 1958 graduate of Westlake High School and she formerly worked as a secretary for a business in Elyria and as a bank teller in Elyria. She also enjoyed being a homemaker.
Gail was a member of the North Ridgeville Arts Council and of Spring Valley Country Club in Elyria. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and relaxing at her family cabin in Oak Harbor. Gail’s greatest joy in life was to spend time with her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Shelly Thompson (Dale) of Avon Lake; two sons, Richard Kreps of North Ridgeville and Michael Kreps of Elyria; five grandsons, Richard, Chris and Tony Kreps and Nick and Greg Thompson; two great grandsons, Ryan Thompson and Michael Kreps; two nephews, Kelly and Scott Patrick, both of Idaho; two great nieces, Kelli Brassfield and Shelly Patrick, both of Idaho; two great nephews, Andrew Patrick of Nevada and Tyler Patrick of Idaho; and by several great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen in 2006; her sister, Debbie Patterson; her brother, Bill Patrick; her mother, LaVerne Sulinski (nee Graf); and by her father, Kenneth Patrick.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Funeral service will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
