Tuesday, Jan. 22

9:25 a.m. — Lorain County Community College, a PLS brand rotating laser was found missing from its container at a construction site at LCCC. An employee of JLJJ Enterprises said that the laser may have been taken on either Jan. 18 or Jan. 21. The laser is valued at around $1,000.

3:15 p.m. — 200 block Market Drive, Shawn Donaldson, 25, charged with theft and arrested on warrant, and Joseph Thomas, 25, arrested and charged with theft and possessing criminal tools. Employees at Target said they observed the two suspects cutting open cell phone packaging and stealing three phones, which were later recovered. Security footage seemed to show that Donaldson and Thomas had previously stolen two phones from the same store at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 20 without being caught.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

2:43 p.m. —1000 block E. Broad St., man whose name was removed from police records, same address, charged with felony theft. An auto repair shop service manager reported that on Jan. 10, a customer came to pick up his repaired pickup and drove away without paying for $1,589 in repairs.

4:30 p.m. — 100 block West Ave., Christa Haynes, 22, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Haynes’ cousin had earlier agreed to pay her $100 in exchange for a cell phone. Haynes went to her cousin’s house to collect the money and fought with her when she refused to pay.

7:40 p.m. — 300 block East Ave., Edward Kryzanowski, 53, same address, arrested and charged with vandalizing property. Construction workers at a newly renovated high-rise said they had been having problems with Kryzanowski, a resident whom they said was seen tearing a boiler duct off the building’s exterior. The Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority has served Kryzanowski an eviction notice.

Saturday, Jan. 19

4:37 p.m. — 3200 block Livingston Ave., two men said they were stopped at a red light at the intersection of East 21st Street and Elyria Avenue, around 4:30 p.m. when a dark purple Plymouth Neon with a temporary license plate pulled up behind them and two men emerged. The men threatened the driver and passenger and one of the men sprayed Mace on the passenger. After being sprayed, the passenger said he got back in his friend’s pickup and they fled. The men were described as wearing white T-shirts and having tattoos on their arms.

Monday, Jan. 21

8:20 a.m. — 3500 block Reinwald Drive, reported theft of roofer max air guns from a work van. Police found a set of golf clubs, belonging to a man whose garage had been broken into, near the van. Police said at 2:25 a.m., officers tried to stop a man on an ATV, but the man drove away, leaving a duffle bag behind that contained three roofer max air guns, bolt cutters and screwdrivers.

9:06 a.m. — 1000 block Meister Road, Ashley Presser, 28, Sheffield Lake, arrested and charged with theft. Police said Presser was an employee at Apples and had taken $230.31 in cash from the register instead of cashing several customers out. Presser admitted to taking the money and said she had fallen on hard times and was about to be evicted from her home, according to police.

4:05 p.m. — 200 block Georgia Ave., Jerrad Londo, 26, and Justin Londo, 29, arrested and charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. Police said the men were passed out in a running car with syringes on their laps. The men admitted to using heroin, and police said they could face additional charges when the syringes and burnt spoons found in the car are tested.

8:18 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., a man come to the police station to report a Bersa Thunder .45 semi-automatic gun with two magazines and a gun safe were taken from his home. He told police he left the back door of his home open Sunday for his son and noticed the safe was missing at 8 p.m. Monday.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

11:21 a.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., police are investigating a report of a high school student who allegedly posted threatening messages to another student on Twitter. Police said the boy posted a picture of himself on the Internet holding a semi-automatic pistol and said he would harm the other boy.

Wednesday, Jan. 23

7:43 p.m. — 400 block 32nd St., a man reported receiving strange text messages from a person who threatened to kill him. The man told police he did not know who the person was, nor did he have any enemies.

7:46 p.m. — 2000 block Broadway, a loss-prevention employee at Advanced Auto Parts said an employee of the store was letting a man take items without paying in exchange for a free property to live on. The man was believed to have stolen approximately $22,000 in merchandise. Police are investigating.

Tuesday, Jan. 15

9:45 p.m. — 1000 block Wellfleet Drive, car speeding up and down the street.

Thursday, Jan. 17

3:20 p.m. — 12000 block Alton Drive, woman stated her brother arrived at her house and began making threats to her family.

Friday, Jan. 18

11:04 a.m. — 1000 block Wellfleet Drive, suspicious people inside a house. Officers learned they were hired by a bank to clean out the property.

9:29 p.m. — South Main Street, a man was upset because his brakes were not working on his truck and he also thought law enforcement officers from North Eaton, Grafton Township or Cleveland police were trying to harm him.

Sunday, Jan. 20

6:16 p.m. — North Main Street, report of a child who was almost struck by a vehicle. Officers advised the children about where to cross the road and at the appropriate time, plus enforced the rule on safety when being out in the dark.
