Aaron J. “Carpe” Carpenter, 26, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, January 24, 2013. He was born August 11, 1986 in Marion, Ohio, and moved to Grafton in 1992.
Aaron worked in the customer service field, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake, a 2005 Midview High School graduate, where he was in the marching band and was active in Boy Scouts. He was also a 2006 graduate of the Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana and enjoyed gaming and camping. Carpe befriended everyone he met.
Survivors include the Love of his Life, Ashley Hlavacik; parents, Steve and Jean Carpenter of Grafton; sister, Courtney (Mike) Bischof of Medina; grandmothers, Ruth Haas of Marion and Ruth Bloomfield of Bucyrus; many dear aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred Haas and John and Helen Carpenter.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Service will be Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Pastor Matthew Peters will officiate. Burial will be at Columbia Cemetery, Columbia Station.
