Verna Mary Wysocki

Verna Mary Wysocki (nee Dembinski), 94, of Elyria, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange, following a long illness. She was born January 27, 1919 in Lorain.

Verna enjoyed knitting, and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include a daughter, Louise Jalowiec (Jim) of Carlisle Township; three sons, Robert (Cindy) of Elyria, John “Jack” (Pat) of North Ridgeville and Larry (Pam) of Grafton. Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Verna was preceded in death by her husband; Harry; her parents, Walter and Mary (nee Kadroski) Dembinski; two sisters, Pauline Balcik, Helen Leshinski; and three brothers, Vogler, Henry, and Harry.

Friends may call 4 until 7 P.M., Thursday, January 31, 2013, at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440) 322-4626, where funeral services will be at 10 A.M., Friday, February 1, 2013. Reverend Father Charles Diedrick, Pastor of St. Mary Church will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria.
