Thomas A. Dandrea, 66 years old, of Elyria, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at his home, following a short illness. He was born in Pennsylvania on January 16, 1947 in Winn, Pennsylvania, and moved to Lorain County in 1957.
He was a graduate of Elyria High School with the class of 1964 and was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed traveling, photography, gardening, and visiting with friends and relatives.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Victoria Dandrea (nee Yurchak) of Elyria; three sisters, Judy Herbert of Hagerstown, Maryland, Toni Laffin of Avon Lake, and Cindy Bias of Berlin Heights; one brother, Brad Dandrea of St. Petersburg, Florida; five nephews; six nieces; many grand nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Dandrea; and one brother, Richard Dandrea in 2012.
Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11 A.M. Burial will be private.
