Steven J. Kerepesi

Steven J. Kerepesi, 95, of Wellington, formerly of Florence Township, died Monday, February 4, 2013, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born January 12, 1918, in Roebling, New Jersey.

He lived most of his life in the Berlin Heights and Wellington area. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the European Theater, in the 2nd Armored Division. He retired from Ridge Tool in Elyria. He loved fishing, golfing, woodworking, and bowling. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Vermilion.

He is survived by his two sons, Dave (Carol) Kerepesi, of Berlin Heights, and Joe (Janet) Kerepesi, of Berlin Heights; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara (Kresho); his second wife, Elizabeth (Kontra); a son, Stephen Allen Kerepesi; his parents, Stephen and Rose (Sabo); and sisters Helen England, Rose Szuch, and Elizabeth Repic.

Friends may call Wednesday February 6, 2013, from 4 to 8 P.M., at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion, from 10 A.M., until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Father Ron Brickner will be the Celebrant. Burial, with military rites, will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
