6:35 p.m. — 17000 Mallard Court, LaGrange Township, a man reported that his ex-wife threw a cup at him while they were arguing in the kitchen.

9:46 a.m. — 100 block Sheffield Center, Sheffield Township, theft of a Kindle Fire valued at $200.

1 p.m. — 4900 O’Neil Boulevard, Sheffield Township, theft of copper piping, hot water tank, bathroom sinks, glass window and a ceiling/electrical line, valued at $11,500.
Wednesday, Jan. 30
2:32 a.m. — 34000 E. Capel Road, Eaton Township, theft of a knife, two iPods, two GPS systems and medication valued at $701.
Saturday, Feb. 2
4 p.m. — 4900 block Midway Mall, Sears, Janece Brown, 24, 1800 block Middle Ave., Elyria, charged with theft after allegedly taking $86 worth of merchandise from the store. She is no longer allowed in the store.
Sunday, Feb. 3
1:17 a.m. — 100 block Bohannon Court, Carolyn Dubose, 28, same address, Elyria, was charged with domestic violence after an incident occurred at her home with her husband. Her husband stated that they were arguing when his wife pulled a
4-inch kitchen knife, pointed it at him and told him to leave. He told police he felt threatened by her and wanted to press charges.
Saturday, Feb. 2
9:02 a.m. — 2300 block Kelly Place, a woman claimed her “baby daddy” had spent the night. She then went to work and when she returned home, he was gone and so was her welfare card. She called the welfare card agency and learned that her card number had been changed by an unknown party. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
9:28 a.m. — 400 block Iowa Ave., theft of 15 PlayStation 3 video games and cigarettes, valued at $755.
5:16 p.m. — 900 block Central Drive, Denise White, 35, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Police said White reportedly threatened her husband with a knife, and officers found the knife in her possession. The woman said she had the knife for self-defense, but police said the dispute was recorded by White’s husband.
Sunday, Feb. 3
2:28 p.m. —Hamilton Avenue and West 10th Street, Michael Young, Jr., 22, 1800 block of W. 10th Street, cited for driving under suspension and failure to control. Michelle Sauer, 36, 3000 block of Caroline Ave., issued a summons for obstructing official business. Police said Young struck a tree and Sauer told police she was driving the vehicle. Witnesses said it was Young who was driving the car.
10:42 p.m. — 3700 block Clifton Ave., a woman said she started her vehicle and was letting it warm up when a man jumped into the car and drove away while she was inside her home. Police were unable to find the vehicle, which was described as a white 1996 Mitsubishi Mirage with damage to the front and a missing gas cap door. The woman was cited for leaving her vehicle unattended.
Monday, Feb. 4
1:43 a.m. — 200 block E. 30th St., Shone Whitney, 31, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. Whitney’s wife said Whitney threatened her, stole her phone and grabbed a machete during an argument after he discovered text messages from another man. Police said Whitney had no prior domestic violence charges.
2:45 a.m. — 3000 block Grove Ave., police were sent to Grove Avenue BP to investigate an assault in which a woman was allegedly hit and pushed out of a vehicle by a man who had been with her at Gil’s International Lounge. Police said the woman had scratches on her neck and a small bump on her forehead, and the case was transferred to the prosecutor.
2:45 a.m. — 1800 block E. 28th St., an employee at Gil’s International Lounge said he fired the disc jockey, who then allegedly knocked over several alcohol bottles, shattering 50 bottles and approximately $1,000 of alcohol. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor.
5:45 a.m. — 100 block W. 29th St., a man reported a woman who has been staying with him stole his wallet with approximately $245 in cash.
5:54 a.m. — 1600 block Crehore St., theft of a Sandisk MP3 player from a vehicle. Police said a cinder block from the homeowner’s fire pit was thrown through his vehicle’s window. Police tracked footprints in the snow to a neighbor’s house. The man said he had no problems with the neighbors, but he said he did not know them well.
11:15 a.m. — 3700 block Lexington Ave., reported attempted burglary of a home. The homeowner told police she saw flashlights outside her home overnight, and when she woke up in the morning, found the aluminum screen to her door lying on the ground. Police said it did not appear as if anyone had entered the home, but there were several footprints around the house in the snow.
4:13 p.m. — 1900 block E. 30th St., a woman said she believes her neighbor stole several items in her home while she was arrested. Police said the woman had a Facebook conversation with her neighbor in which the neighbor allegedly admitted to breaking into the home.
5:58 p.m. — 1300 block Washington Ave., a man told police he was punched by three unknown men, who pushed him through a storm window and said he owed them money. The man said his attackers ran away when the owner of the home with the damaged storm window came outside.
8:05 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., a woman reported that someone scratched a large “K” in the hood of her 2006 Monte Carlo.
