Bobby June Herring (nee Temple), 60, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a brief illness. She was born February 22, 1952 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Bobby was raised in Lorain and attended Clearview High School. She had made her home in Elyria since 1983.
Bobby was employed at First Energy Company for 30 years before retiring in 2011. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, crocheting and going to Bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and her dog, “Jozie”.
Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Cynthia and Steve Croskey of Elyria; grandchildren, Hannah, Olivia and Joshua; her sister and her husband, Pamela and Allen Springer of Amherst; her brother and his wife, Larry and Kay Temple of California; five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dale and Betty Temple (nee DeBerry).
Friends may call Friday, February 8, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon.
