Thomas was a Clearview High School graduate and had served in The Ohio Army National Guard with Company B 1st BN 145th Infantry. He was an engineering and operations manager at Duffin Manufacturing, retiring in 1999 following 30 years of service.
Thomas was a member of St. Jude Church, and the Elyria United Polish Club. Family was always first for him; he enjoyed golf, bowling, gardening and The Ohio State University sports.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (nee Antkowiak); a daughter, Mary Sue Kaliszewski (Bill Cassarly) of Wooster; a son, Thomas S. Kaliszewski (Lori) of Rochester Hills, Michigan. Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Thomas, Lauren, and Jared; three sisters, Georgene Kochan (the late Jakub) of Greenville, South Carolina, Marjorie Ilcisko (the late John) of Lorain, Norma Dombroski (Kenneth) of Strongsville; and a brother, Leo R. Kaliszewski (Loretta) of Avon Lake.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Kaliszewski and Norma Kaliszewski Field (nee Goldsmith).

(at State Rt. 57), Elyria, 440-322-4626, where closing prayers will be at 9:30 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2013. Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M., Friday, February 8, 2013, at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. Rev. Frank P. Kosem, Pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
