Eleanor “Ellie” Slatinsky Wolf, 81, died Saturday, February 2, 2013, in Cortez, Colorado, after an illness of several months. Ellie was born January 12, 1932, and lived in Ohio until moving to California with her husband and son in 1967.
Always with a great interest in people, she worked as a psychologist there, assisting veterans as they returned to civilian life. After retiring, she moved to Dolores, Colorado with her husband, and conducted archeological research on the ancient Indians of the state. She enjoyed observing and feeding the abundant wildlife around their home.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Donald Lloyd Wolf; and her younger brother, Leslie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Suze Slatinsky; and by two sons, Michael and Mark.
