At the age of 18 she moved to Rochester, and lived there most of her life. Mary was a homemaker and loved her church and family.
She is survived by her children, Roxie (Danny) Hamilton of Nova, Sue (Jack) Prelipp of New London, Eddie (Alice) Wallen of Rochester and Bobby (Janice) Wallen of New London; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and siblings, Bernice Johnson of Dayton, Julie Johnson, Imogene McGuire, Clifford Adkins, Johnie Adkins and Ira Adkins all of Kentucky.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Wallen; daughters, Diane Wallen and Joann Hunter; great granddaughter, Angel Marie Wallace; and great great granddaughter, Kylie Dawson; three sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 P.M., Wednesday, February 13, 2013, with a 6 P.M. service at Little Pilgrim Home Church, 1487 US Route 224 East, Greenwich, where a service will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, February 14, 2013. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery, with a luncheon following at the church. Memorials may be given to Little Pilgrim Home Church.
