Hugh M. Windsor

Hugh M. Windsor, 83, of Sheffield Lake, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. He was born October 19, 1929 in Malden, Massachusetts and moved to Elyria in 1935.

He was formerly employed by Sherwin Williams and Glidden Company and retired from General Electric in Cleveland. Hugh also owned his own consulting firm, Elvenword Specialist Inc and was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Elyria.

Hugh served with the United States Air Force from 1950-1954 and was stationed in Germany, where he meet the love of his life, Elly and were married January 26, 1956.

He is also survived be a sister, Nancy E. (C.W.) Waterman of Vestal, New York; nieces, Kelli (Dan) Botzer of Manassas, Virginia and Tracy (Dr. Matthew) Katz of Gaithersburg, Marland and six great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manly M. Windsor, in 1982 and his mother, Muriel E. Windsor in 1989.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 1 P.M. until the time of a 2 P.M. funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Wayne Brass will officiate with burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
