James (Jim) DeLodge, 83, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 following a lengthy illness. Jim was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on December 13, 1929. During childhood he moved to Lorain County, where he graduated from Wellington High School.
After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army, Ohio National Guard, serving in the Korean conflict and also as an instructor at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Jim built custom homes in the Lorain County area for over 30 years. He was also an avid boater, christening his boats “All Girls” in honor of his wife and four daughters.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Prestage); daughters, Lynne (Jack) Urbansky of Elyria, Karen (Jim) Klonowski of LaGrange, Lori DeLodge of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Karla (Michael) Colmant of Sante Fe, Texas, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
