Friday, Feb. 15
12:15 p.m. — 800 block Purdue Ave., reported breaking and entering of an unattached garage. The owner did not know if anything was taken.
12:34 p.m. — 1500 block West River Road, N., Shawn Radeff arrested and charged with five counts of receiving stolen property. Kyle Kadow arrested and charged with five counts of receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police were sent to the Exchange to investigate a report that Radeff and Kadow had GPS units possibly stolen from Avon Lake.
8 p.m. — 700 block Cleveland St., Ivan Cordova, 38, 500 block S. Abbe Road, arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. William Blevins Jr., arrested on a warrant. Cordova’s girlfriend reported that Cordova had taken her vehicle without her permission and had not returned it. An OnStar representative tracked the vehicle to Rally’s, where Cordova and Blevins were arrested.
8:55 p.m. — Parmely and Lake avenues, Velma Oliver-Jones, 52, 200 block Hickory Circle, arrested and charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon and using weapons while intoxicated. Police said Oliver-Jones was intoxicated and carrying a semiautomatic pistol in a taxi. Oliver-Jones said she carried the firearm for protection after her home was broken into.

Saturday, Feb. 16
12:56 a.m. — 100 block West Ave., a man told police he lost his wallet after making a purchase at New Image Sports Bar and found that someone had made several purchases with his credit card Friday. The man spoke with employees at Dairy Mart on Lake Avenue, where some of the purchases were made, and he was told that two men and a woman used the card to buy several items.
