Monday, Feb. 18
8 a.m. — 600 block Poplar St., reported broken window and several dental instruments damaged after a cinder block was thrown through a window in the office of Dr. Ramez Assad.
4:36 p.m. — 200 block Park Meadow Drive, police were sent to Park Meadow Apartments to investigate a complaint that one resident threw eggs at another. No charges were filed, and the leasing agent at the apartment said the woman who allegedly threw the eggs was moving out by the end of February.
8:48 p.m. — Lake Avenue and Bath Street, Mark Woody, 19, 100 block Jean Court, arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and cited for failure to signal a turn. Police stopped Woody for failing to signal around vehicles and said a bottle of pills Woody said were Percocets were found in his hand. Police said Woody did not have a prescription for the pills, which were being sent to the lab for testing.
10:30 p.m. — 200 block Park Meadow Drive, a woman told police her son’s bedroom window had been broken by a BB that appeared to be shot from a nearby apartment. The woman later contacted police and said several tenants have had issues with a tenant who has been known to cause damage to other properties in the complex.
Tuesday, Feb. 19
12:28 a.m. — 500 block Foster Ave., a woman reported that a brick had been thrown through a front window at her house. She believed a person who has a feud with her son was responsible.
Friday, Feb. 15
12:07 a.m. — 1300 block W. 14th St., Albert Young, III, 21, arrested and charged with walking along highways, open container, carrying a concealed weapon, using weapons while intoxicated, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and harassment by an inmate. Police said Young was walking in the road and hid a gun and an open can of beer in a bush when officers drove by. Police said Young was slamming his body on the ground and was “very worked up,” asking officers to shoot and Taser him. He later spit on an officer, according to a police report.
Monday, Feb. 18
6:30 a.m. — 3000 block Falbo Ave., reported breaking and entering of an unattached garage and theft from a vehicle parked in the driveway. A television, air compressors, nail gun, saws and various hand tools were reported missing.
12:58 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., a man reported that an acquaintance yelled at him at the Lorain Public Library and then threatened to hit him with a small metal pipe outside the library. He said the man left when an auxiliary police officer walked out of the library.
1:10 p.m. — 3400 block Reid Ave., a man told police he saw footprints in his yard and pry marks on his detached garage door, but the person did not appear to enter. The man said pry marks were also on his neighbor’s garage. Police said the footprints originated in an alley behind the home, and the footprints appeared to be from an athletic shoe.
