Thomas V. Twigg, 57, of Wellington, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 in New Life Hospice Center in Lorain. He was born May 2, 1955 in Cumberland, Maryland, living in the Lorain County area most of his life.
He served in the U.S. Army late in the Vietnam era as a paratrooper. He worked as a roofer and drywaller for various different companies. He was a member of AmVets Post #32 in Elyria, VFW Post #6941 in Wellington, American Legion Post #8 in Wellington, and Order of the Eagles #4003 in Columbia Station. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and family gatherings.
He is survived by his fiancee, Sheila “Weasel” Davis of Wellington; daughters, Stacey (Kevin) Burlison of Elyria, Stephanie Twigg of Brookpark; grandchild, Ava Burlison of Elyria; and sister, Barbara (John) Coffman of Keyser, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Irene Twigg.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Friday, February 22, 2013 for a Celebration of Life service from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, at a later date.
