12:36 p.m. — 39000 Arbor Court, Carlisle Township, a taxi driver dropped a woman off at Elyria Cash Land with a large amount of loose jewelry. He told deputies that “she did not fit the location where he picked her up.”

Thursday, Feb. 21
9:54 a.m. — 8400 Leavitt Road, Amherst Township, Cherry Knoll water service reported the theft of cash and change machine valued at $2,130.

Lorain police

Friday, Feb. 22
11:29 p.m. —100 block W. Erie Ave., Kenneth Brooks, 20, 1400 block W. 21st St., was charged with speeding, stop sign violation, insufficient lights, OVI and underage OVI.

Elyria police

Wednesday, Feb. 20
4:25 p.m. — 200 block N. Abbe Road, Apples, Kimberly Morgan, 22, 5300 block Amanda Court, North Ridgeville, charged with theft after she allegedly took feminine products and two types of cheese valued at $39.24.

Friday, Feb. 22
2:48 a.m. — 300 block N. Gateway Blvd., Cody Jones, 23, 100 block Stanford Ave., Elyria, charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated after officers received a call advising them that someone was “playing with the flag and flag rope” in front of the building. An officer arrived at the scene and saw him playing with the flag in the wind and swinging the rope wildly.
