ELYRIA — Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash around 7:55 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge and South Abbe roads.
The unidentified male driver of a 1994 Chevy Silverado pickup and his female passenger were sent to EMH Elyria Medical Center after a 2006 Dodge Charger collided with the pickup, fire Capt. William Gall said. Gall said witnesses said the Charger was southbound on South Abbe and the Silverado was eastbound on Chestnut Ridge.
The woman was thrown from the Silverado, which was pushed up against a utility pole. The Dodge ended up in the front yard of a home at 39009 Chestnut Ridge Road. Police couldn’t be reached Sunday night for the identities of the victims or details on who caused the crash.
