Karl J. Yost, II

Karl J. Yost, II, 29, of Vermilion, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 22, 2013, at his home, from complications with his health. He was born October 30, 1983, in Elyria.

Karl graduated with Honors from Vermilion High School in 2002, where he participated in the Speech and Debate Club and the Marching Band and attended Nyack College in Nyack, New York. He was a Praise and Worship Leader at Christian Heritage in Avon, (Four 40). He was also a member of Great Lakes Church in Amherst. Karl grew up at Temple Emmanuel in Lorain, and Faith Memorial in Sandusky and served as Music Director at Lakewood New Life Church, Lakewood. He enjoyed photography, music, and karaoke.

Karl is survived by his mother, Angelique (nee Lopez) of Vermilion; siblings, Jessica L. Yost of Hillside, New Jersey, Jonathan K., Timothy D., Joshua J., Rebecca E., Christian Z., Aaliyah G., all of Vermilion; a niece, Isabella H.; maternal grandmother, Julia Diaz; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Karl J. Yost, Sr. (2011); paternal grandparents, Dalton and Elisabeth Yost.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 P.M., Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral service will be 10 A.M., Friday, March 1, 2013, at the church. Reverend Gilbert Silva, Pastor of House of Praise, will officiate and will be co-officiated by many local ministers. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
