Man robbed after meeting acquaintance to buy marijuana; 4 arrested

WESTLAKE — Three men and a juvenile have been arrested after they allegedly robbed a man they met to sell marijuana to, according to police.

A 19-year-old North Ridgeville man went to police just before 9 last night and told them he’d been robbed an hour earlier in a public parking garage on Vine Street, police said.

He told them he’d met an acquaintance there to buy marijuana.

The acquaintance, 19-year-old Joseph Polomsky of Westlake, allegedly pulled out a gun — which was later determined to be a BB gun — and robbed him.

Polomsky was accompanied by a 17-year-old Westlake boy as well as Darren Viets, 20, and Zachary Trigalet, 19, both of Westlake.

All off the suspects were arrested later in the evening at residences in Westlake.

Some of the cash taken from the victim was recovered, police said. They also took a BB gun.

The teen arrested was taken to the Cuyahoga County Detention Home, and Polomsky, Viets and Rigalet were taken to the Cuyahoga County Jail.

All suspects face recommended charges of robbery and possession of criminal tools, according to police.
