Lowell T. “Tom” Farley, 71, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, following a sudden illness. Lowell was born October 8, 1941 in Oak Hill, West Virginia. He resided in Elyria for over 30 years, before retiring to West Virginia. His last few years were spent in Amherst and Cleveland.
Lowell was employed with the Elyria Fire Department asa Fire Fighter for 22 years. Over the years, he enjoyed cooking for his fellow firefighters. Lowell proudly served in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons, Steven Farley of Lorain, Andrew Farley and his wife, Jennifer of Elyria, and John Farley of Elyria; one brother, Gary Farley and his wife, Dot of Amherst; three sisters, Frankie Guthrie of Elyria, Janith Martin of Culver, Indiana, and Linda Burris and her husband, Ken of Huron; grandchildren, A.J. and Brooke; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria Friday March 1, 2013, from 5 P.M. until the time of services at 8 P.M. Military services will be provided by the Elyria VFW Military Honor Guard.
