Mary K. “Marie” Prickett

Mary K. “Marie” Prickett (nee Spisak), 88, entered into rest Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was born September 29, 1924, in Lakewood. She lived in Avon Lake for 60 years, coming from Lakewood.

She was a member of The Knights of Columbus Isabella Guild, Ladies Guild at St. Joseph Parish, Srs. Cyril and Methodius Golden Agers, Ladies Auxiliary Catholic War Veterans and a volunteer at the Avon Lake Public Library and St. Vincent DePaul Breakfast Program.

She is survived by her children, Karen L. Prickett of Avon Lake, and Robert (Fran) Prickett of Raphine, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and David; great grandson, Devon; sister, Theresa Witczak of Pinehurst, North Carolina; and four generations of many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Prickett; parents, Michael and Mary (nee Veszeli) Spisak; sisters, Vern Pesta and Coletta Sostakowski; brothers, Edward, Raymond, Bernard; and four infant brothers.

The family will receive friends at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Rd. Avon, Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 4 to 8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 4, 2013, at Noon (Meet at church) at St. Joseph Parish, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Avon.
