Eadred Eleanor Walkden Reisinger

Eadred Eleanor Walkden Reisinger, 87, of Spencer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Elms Retirement Center from complications of a stroke in December 2012. Eadred was born in North Ridgeville, January 4, 1926, to the late Chauncey and Charlotte (Maringer) Walkden.

She grew up in Spencer and lived most of her life in Medina County. She graduated from Spencer High School with the class of 1944. She married Francis Reisinger on January 4, 1947 in St. Patrick Church in Wellington. Together, they owned and operated the Reisinger Dairy Farm, until health issues forced their retirement two years ago.

Eadred was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Dairy Farmers of America, and Medina County Farm Bureau.

Surviving are her husband, Francis Reisinger, to whom she was married to for 66 years; six children, Charlene (David) Cornish of Ashland, Melvin Reisinger of Nova, Wayne (Nancy) Reisinger of Elyria, Elaine (Ralph) Koch of Shiloh, Ohio, Edwin Reisinger of Sullivan, William (Laura Mutchler) Reisinger of Wellington; 13 grandchildren, David Cornish Jr., Charlotte Hatfield, Cathie Franks, Debbie Cornish, Danny Cornish, Mike Reisinger, Seth Reisinger, Christina Reisinger, Steven Reisinger, Lynn McGinnis, Edwin Reisinger Jr., Amanda Hodge and Becky Reisinger; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Ardith Coe of Wakeman, Audrey (Virgil) Frase of Litchfield; sisters-in-law, Alice Yunker of Elyria, Dorothy Feron of Medina; brother-in-law, David (Brenda) Reisinger of Spencer; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; and great granddaughter.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2013, from 4 until 8 P.M., at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 202 East Main St., Spencer.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 9, 2013, 11 A.M., at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 9608 Norwalk Rd., Litchfield. Father Ron Bryda will officiate.
