Billy Carson Persinger

, 67, of Nova, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his home. He was born April 4, 1945 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia, son of the late Alfred A. and Erma (Smith) Persinger.

He lived in North Ridgeville for several years, before moving to Nova in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 – 1968 in Germany. Billy worked for General Motors-Parma Stamping for 30 years, he retirimg in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene ( Pedraza) Persinger; his children, Billy Carson Persinger, Jr. of Pennsylvania, Tammy Kay Shifflett of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren, Jessica Kay and Dustin Lee Shaffer; and his siblings, Shelva Cox, Carolyn Thompson, and Delmas Persinger all of Beckley, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Persinger, Rita Brock, Darrell and Harold Persinger.

Friends may call from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 P.M., Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London. Burial will follow at Nova Cemetery.
