She lived in Elyria after moving from Cleveland as a young teenager. She graduated from Elyria High school and also attended Ohio Business College, where she received her State Tested Nursing Assistant Certification. She worked as a security officer for local businesses. She was a member of Ministry of Reconciliation in Lorain. Her hobby was baby sitting and she was also a nanny for many years, but the majority of her time was spent with family and friends. She was also a Queen for the Zulu Club Lorain County Chapter.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Roseboro, Marquitta Jackson, Shannon Jackson, all of Elyria; son, Cleo Jackson of Wooster; sisters, Yolanda “Tillie” Cross, Sharon Keith; brother, Lydell “Josh” Keith, all of Elyria; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo Jasper and Lille Mae Jackson; and an adopted mother, Mary Jackson.
Friends call Friday, March 22, 2013, at 11 A.M. until the time of service at 12 Noon, in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria, 440-322-7788. Pastor Sherri Jones will officiate.
