Donald E. Maybaugh

Donald E. Maybaugh, 89, of Wellington, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, following a brief illness. He was born January 6, 1924 in Cleveland, to Donald E. and Lillian Maybaugh. He was a graduate of Wellington High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Donald was one of the last World War II POWs in Ohio. He was also a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. and was a York Cross of Honor Mason who served as head of every York right body.

Donald is survived by a son, Richard (Faith) Maybaugh of Wellington; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Runee; daughter, Donna; both parents; and a brother, Henry Maybaugh.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2013, from 5 to 8 P.M., at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 25, 2013, at 2 P.M., with Reverend Lea Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
