Joseph A. Agardi, 75, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain, following a long illness. He was born August 9, 1937 in Budapest, Hungary and was an Elyria resident since 1958, coming from Budapest.
Joe was employed in the maintenance department at Harshaw Chemical Co. in Elyria for 38 years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Gwen (nee Francis); daughters, Linda Epstien and Allison Agardi, both of Naples, Florida; son, Mike Agardi of Naples; step-daughters, Tammie Bungard and Hollie Delic, both of Elyria; step-son, Allen Pack of Thomasville, Georgia; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
