Sunday, March 24

10:43 a.m. — 800 block Broad St., Shannon Perry, 33, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Perry’s boyfriend, who police said had injuries on his right ear, the left side of his face and left upper lip, said Perry struck him with a belt after they argued over her wanting to return Easter gifts for money. Perry, who police said had no signs of injury, said her boyfriend struck her with the belt.

9:45 p.m. — 100 block Harvard Ave., Andrew Mikoleit, 28, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Mikoleit’s wife said they argued over her calling him to go shopping with her for a birthday gift for their son. She said Mikoleit came home drunk and pushed her against a wall and down stairs when she tried to escape. Mikoleit denied committing violence.

Amherst police

Monday, March 18

9:30 a.m. — 100 block of S. Leavitt Road, two juveniles fled Rite Aid with stolen beer. The boys were found, and the store decided not to press criminal charges but pursue the matter civilly.

Wednesday, March 20

8 p.m. — 100 block of N. Leavitt Road, a delivery driver at Marco’s received two counterfeit $20 bills. A manager at the store could not confirm where they came from because several deliveries were made in that time frame.

Thursday, March 14

4:55 p.m. — 300 block of Nantucket Place, a person reported that they were receiving unwanted phone calls. Police advised the suspect to stop calling the person.

Sunday, March 17

12:03 a.m. — 600 block of Main St., report of domestic violence between a man and a woman. The woman gathered her things to stay somewhere else for the night.

11:08 a.m. — North Ridge Road, Brownhelm Cemetery, a woman reported a theft of items from her boyfriend’s grave site.

6:54 p.m. — Haley and Douglas streets, driver found to be intoxicated and driving under a license suspension when he was stopped, no name given.

Tuesday, March 19

6:12 p.m. — 200 block of Cummings Road, police received a report of an Amherst student and Vermilion resident who arrived at school with injuries. The student’s father was called and took the student to the hospital. He told police the student’s older brother caused the injuries.

Thursday, March 21

5:06 p.m. — 600 block of Grand St., reported spray paint found on the back of MV Circuit Design.

Friday, March 22

11:35 a.m. — 4700 block of Liberty Ave., Joshua Hagg, 21, Amherst, arrested and charged with driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs during a traffic stop.

1:38 p.m. — 4400 block of Liberty Ave., a woman reported she received threatening phone calls from her estranged husband while she was at work.

8:49 p.m. — Edgewater Drive and Kensington Road, police received a report of fireworks going off in the area. Police found the source of the fireworks, but a resident inside the home hid from officers and would not answer the door. The fireworks were confiscated.
