Dora M. “Patty” Blue

Dora M. “Patty” Blue, 61, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at EMH Healthcare. She was born December 1, 1951 in Cleveland.

She attended Cleveland public schools. She was a resident of Lorain County for the past 36 years and previously worked as an assembler at area manufacturing companies. Dora enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Maurice Blue (Katy Malcolm) and Melvin Blue, both of Lorain, and Malcolm Blue of Elyria; two sisters, Maxine (Joseph) Walker and Rhonda Blue, both of Elyria; three brothers, Wayne Blue of Lorain, Danny Blue of Elyria, Claudie Blue of Maryland; a sister-in-law, Jessica Blue of Cleveland; a daughter-in-law, Luetishie Parker of Texas; nine grandchildren, Bryant, Patricia, Charday, Marissa, Maurice Jr., Khalio, Madison, Katrice and Bryson; two great grandchildren; the many children she had raised as her own; and other relatives and friends.

Dora was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Michelle Blue; her parents, Edward and May Dora Blue; brothers, Melvin, Darryl, James and Lloyd Blue; and companion, Michael R. Sweatt.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2013, from 11 A.M. until time of service at 12 Noon, at Unity Baptist Church, 326 Fuller Rd., Elyria, where Reverend Willie Gardner is the Pastor.
