Robert was a manager with MC Sporting Goods. He had grown up in St. Agnes parish in Elyria and was a 1971 Elyria High School graduate. Robert enjoyed many sports; fantasy football, fishing and golf. He also enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, gardening. Robert loved spending time with his family, reading, and was an avid history fanatic.
Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Zink (the late Chris) of Perry, Ohio, Jennifer Hamden (Lyle) of Ostego, Michigan, Patricia Deland of Paw Paw, Michigan; son, Matthew Siwierka of Portage, Michigan; additional survivors include nine grandchildren; his mother, Arlene Siwierka (nee Wiech) of Elyria; sister, Linda Pavlich of Elyria; three brothers, Gary Siwierka (Mary), William Siwierka, Alan Siwierka (Colleen) all of Elyria.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (nee Fedor); his father, John Siwierka.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria, where closing prayers will be at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Funeral Mass will be 10 A.M., Wednesday at St. Agnes Church, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria. Rev. Fr. Charles J. Ryba will be the Celebrant. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
