Henry M. “Stroh’s” Williams, 66, of Elyria, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2013, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Greenwood, South Carolina before coming to Elyria in 1967.
Henry received his education in Greenwood South Carolina. He was employed with Elyria Foundry and the Lorain Ford Motor Company as an assembler before retiring in 1979. He was a member of Local UAW #425 of Lorain and also a member of the Iron Stallion M/C of Lorain County. He attended Second Baptist Church of Elyria. He enjoyed traveling, game playing, fishing, family gatherings and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jewel; daughters, Sidney Williams of Seattle Washington, Nasquetia S. Conway of Columbus; sons, Aaron Williams of Florida, Henry Williams, Jr. of Elyria, Joseph Barbee of Elyria, William (Brenda) Conway of Phoenix, Arizona, Tyson J. Conway of Sandusky; sister, Amelia Odell Elmore of South Carolina; brother, Reverend Frank Williams of Greenwood South Carolina; aunt, Lona Belle Williams of Elyria, 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Amanda Williams; sisters, Jannie R. Brown, Eula M Morton, Christian Adams, Betty Jean Williams; brothers, Charlie Williams, David Williams, and Walter Williams.
Friends may call Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 7 to 9 P.M., in the Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria and also Friday, April 5, 2013, 10 A.M., until time of service at 11 A.M., Reverend Carl P. Smalls will officiate, with burial in Brookdale, Elyria.
