Authorities: Man fired from job showed up with weapons

OAK HARBOR — An Ohio man recently fired from his job has been arrested after police say he showed up at the company with weapons.

Ottawa County deputies say they arrested 20-year-old Kyle Kovac after he was spotted Thursday at Northern Manufacturing with two knives, an air pistol and a large stick.

Employees at the company in Oak Harbor, near Port Clinton, said they saw Kovac walking around the property in camouflage clothing with a knife. Deputies found the other weapons in his car.

Kovac, of Fremont, has been charged with two counts each of aggravated menacing, inducing panic and carrying concealed weapons. He was also charged with one count of possession of criminal tools.

Kovac is expected to be in court Friday. Attorney information wasn’t available.
