Gerhardt Buchdrucker, 72, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at his home, following a long illness. He was born June 6, 1940 in Germany and was a Grafton resident for most of his life, coming from Cleveland.
Gerhardt worked at the Modern Tool and Die Company in Cleveland for 40 years, retiring in 2003 as a Quality Control Inspector. He was a United States Army veteran and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Vada (nee Neal); daughters, Christina Homer of Pennsylvania, and Marcella “Marcie” Summers of Grafton; sons, Joseph Buchdrucker of Texas and Matthew Buchdrucker of Hawaii; 12 grandchildren; sister, Ingrid Nye of New York; and brother, Ewald Buchdrucker of Columbia Station.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Frieda Buchdrucker.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 6 P.M., at the North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 35895 Royalton Rd., Grafton. The Reverend Chuck Butcher will officiate. Burial will be private.
