Invacare lays off 68 more employees

ELYRIA — Less than six months after cutting 40 percent of its work force, Invacare is laying off more employees.

Invacare laid off 68 hourly employees Monday morning at its Taylor Street facility. The workforce reduction took effect immediate and is indefinite at this point, said Invacare spokeswoman Lara Mahoney.

This comes after Invacare laid off 143 employees just days after Christmas and several weeks after some employees saw their work day reduced from five days to three days.
