He was a man of many interests. On any given day, one could find Jason mixing/producing his own music, playing video games, or connecting with friends and family via social media. Jason served his country as a Medical Corpsman of the United States Navy; a Plank Owner of the U.S.S. Stennis.
Survivors include his parents, Alida Shaffer of Elyria and Kevin and Vicki McGoldrick, also of Elyria; siblings, Laura Leu (McGoldrick) of Dayton and Pamela McGoldrick of Elyria; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Howard Shaffer; 10 aunts, 12 uncles, 19 cousins and numerous second cousins.
Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew McGoldrick; great grandmother, Nancy Shaffer; paternal grandparents, John and Patricia McGoldrick; step grandmother, Lena Monell Shaffer; step grandparents, Marion Lennon and Lawrence Gibson; and aunts, Monalynn Shaffer and Dawn Jefferies-Shaffer.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 P.M. with a service from 7:30 to 8 P.M. at Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, 114 Second Street, Elyria.
