Mary Eloise (Ellie) Myers

Mary Eloise (Ellie) Myers (nee Workman), 82, of Elyria, died suddenly at her home Friday, April 12, 2013. Ellie was born June 4, 1930 in Princeton, West Virginia and lived in Elyria since 1950.

She was employed at the Dairy Mart in Elyria, the Corner Shop in Elyria and as a deli clerk at Convenient Food Mart in Columbia Station. She enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Stephen (Sandra) Myers of Elyria; two grandchildren, Scott (Maria) Myers of Grafton and Stacy (Brian) Dawson of Elyria; three great grandchildren, Marissa, Stephen, and Alec Dawson, all of Elyria; two sisters, Arline McPherson of Princeton, West Virginia and Ailene Myers of Balch Springs, Texas; and three brothers, Clarice Workman, Jr. and Joe Workman, both of Fort Myers Beach, Florida, and Thomas Workman of Princeton, West Virginia.

Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Basil W. Myers in 1983; one brother, Johnnie Workman; and her parents, Clarice and Beatrice (nee Bailey) Workman.

There will be a private graveside service for the family at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
