11:14 a.m. — 500 block W. 25th St., a woman reported that a man she did not know, who spoke to her on the side of the road, threatened to send people to her house to mess it up if he was sent back to prison. The woman told police she drove away after the threat.
3:15 p.m. — 4300 block Leavitt Road, Abigail Simmons, 26, 4100 block Shore Drive, and Cecile Uyek, 20, of Elyria, arrested and charged with petty theft for allegedly shoplifting clothing from Walmart.
Saturday, April 13
1:16 a.m. — 200 block Lake Ave., Miesha Lawrence, 19, 300 block Brace Ave., Elyria, arrested and charged with assault. Lawrence admitted punching a 17-year-old woman after seeing the woman across the street with Lawrence’s boyfriend, police said. The woman, who is Lawrence’s neighbor, had a bloody lip and scratches on her face, police said.
3:10 a.m. — 200 block Lake Avenue, a resident said she was sitting in her living room when someone threw a rock smashing her front window.
2:16 p.m. — Elyria Budget Auto Sales, 590 Cleveland St., owner said employees told him someone cut the fence to where eight vehicles being used for salvage parts are kept and three cars had catalytic converters stolen from them.
11:33 p.m. — 700 Finwood Court, a resident said her 15-year-old son and his friends found the sliding patio door to her home open and two televisions and an Xbox 360 with a combined value of $3,550 stolen. Police said there were no signs of forced entry and the resident said a hidden key near the home may have been used to gain entry.

5:28 p.m. — 2200 block of Periwinkle Way, resident reported giving personal banking information to an unknown caller who told the resident they had won an $8,000 federal grant.
6:28 p.m. — 36700 block of Bellcrest Court, police take report of a burglary.

1:17 p.m. — State Route 611, Thomas M. Webster, 24, charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during traffic stop.

2:12 p.m. — Avon Police Department, woman reports April 8 incident that occurred in the Richard E. Jacobs Cleveland Clinic Family Health Center.
