7:45 a.m. — 500 block Skylark Court, sister of owner of a home being refurbished said someone broke in through the rear bedroom and stole three televisions with a combined value of $4,000.
11:24 p.m. — 600 block Princeton Ave., resident said between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, someone broke into her car parked in the driveway and stole a GPS and change.
2:40 p.m. — Police Department, 18 West Ave., parking lot, Neil Bennett, 36, 100 block Warren Ave., Elyria, arrested and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct by intoxication. Bennett’s mother said he came towards her in an aggressive manner and acted violently. Police said Bennett was drunk and could barely stand before being arrested.
6:03 p.m. — 500 block Cambridge Ave., resident said unlocked car parked in his driveway broken into between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and his wallet and sunglasses were stolen.
Monday, April 22
11:06 a.m. — 100 block West Ave., a woman reported that she was assaulted by an acquaintance and a group of women, who were not directly involved in the fight, at Sports Bar on Broad Street. She told police she went to the hospital on Sunday, and she was told that her sinus bones were broken. Police said the woman’s left eye was swollen shut, she had cuts on her neck and face and she was missing hair around her hairline.
