6:48 a.m. — 800 block Rosewood Drive, a woman reported that her four tires on her 2003 Ford Focus had been stabbed with a sharp object.

1:44 p.m. — 4900 block Midway Mall, Sears, Rosalina Ruiz, 32, 1600 block E. 29th St., Lorain; Ketsy Padilla, 30, 2100 block E. 30th St., Lorain; and Velmary Padilla, 34, 2100 block E. 30th St., Lorain were each charged with theft after allegedly stealing merchandise from the store. The items included shorts, bathing suits, jeans and shirts for a total value of $402. Each was advised they were no longer allowed to enter any Sears store.

4:13 p.m. — 4900 block Midway Mall, Sears, a security officer stated he observed a Hispanic man looking at jeans. The officer stated he recognized the man as a subject who has stolen from Sears multiple times in the past. The man stole approximately four pairs of jeans, each valued at $30. Security officers attempted to pursue the subject, but he outran them. He is described as a fair-skinned Hispanic man approximately 6 feet tall with dreadlocks and facial hair wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

4:30 p.m. —100 block Hodge Court, a woman advised that an unknown person(s) entered her residence while she was sleeping and took her Xbox 360 gaming system and two controllers. She did notice that her back door was open, but there was no forced entry into the residence, and nothing else was disturbed or missing.

6:01 p.m. — 150 block Market Drive, Home Depot, Tricia Michalski, 31, 3000 block Camden Ave., Lorain, was arrested on an identity theft warrant through Fairview Park police and was issued a citation for theft for allegedly taking miscellaneous paint products and trying to leave without paying. When the loss-prevention officer attempted to stop her and a male suspect, they both began running. Michalski was caught after a brief chase, but the male fled toward Dick’s Sporting Goods.

6:15 p.m. — 4900 block Midway Mall, Sears, Stephanie Cheney, 18, 33000 block Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, charged with theft after a loss-prevention officer observed her select numerous items, including sports bras and athletic shorts. Video surveillance showed Cheney enter the fitting room carrying the items, but when she exited, the items were no longer being carried. Cheney passed all points of sale and exited the store. The loss-prevention officer made contact with her and escorted her back to the office. She was advised she was longer allowed in any Sears stores.
