Kenneth A. Gall, 82, of Elyria, went home to be with his Lord and Savior joining his wife Betty Ann on Friday, April 26, 2013, at his residence. Kenneth was born June 6, 1930 in Elyria, where he was raised and was a lifetime resident.
Kenneth served as a Cook in the United States Air Force. He was employed at Nelson Stud working in machine maintenance. He established, owned, and operated Ken’s Woodcraft, where he was a master cabinet maker. His woodworking craftsmanship can be seen in homes, businesses, and churches throughout the North Eastern United States.
Kenneth was a charter member of Church of the Open Door where he was involved in youth group leadership with his wife Betty. He was also a Sunday school teacher, a Sunday school superintendent and a trustee. He also enjoyed attending many of the Lorain County Baptist Churches, where his wife served as a pianist. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting, camping, canoeing, fishing, and traveling with his camper. He loved gathering with family and friends. Ken and his wife also enjoyed wintering at their home in Hernando, Florida.
Survivors include his son, David Gall of Lorain; daughter, Rebecca DeLapp and her husband Christopher of Elyria; three grandchildren, Sarah, Ben and Angelica; sister, Marge Kuzoff and her husband George of Fort Meyers, Florida.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Ann Gall (nee Fodor); and parents, James and Mary Gall (nee Link).
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Tower Baptist Church, 1313 Tower Boulevard, Lorain. The Rev. Gary Dorsey, Pastor, will officiate.
