Critter Chronicles: Benji

Benji was given up by his caregiver’s after the elderly mother went into a nursing home. Benji is a great dog and has been waiting in a kennel for a home to call his own once again. He does know some basic commands and enjoys a game of fetch. He normally will bring the ball back and give it to you. It seems he may be leery of some new things so will need a strong leader to show him the way and let him know new things are OK. Benji is house-trained and does have all of his house manners. He seems to be a very smart dog and should learn new things quickly. We think Benji would be more accepting of a female submissive dog. Older children would be preferred and we are not yet sure about him with cats. We would like to see Benji have a fenced-in yard as he does have some energy to burn. He loves to play. He will also need a daily walk to keep him from becoming bored. He is starting to stress in the kennel and it is becoming urgent to find him a home, even a foster would help.
