A U.S. Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division agent at the Medicine Center Pharmacy on Cleveland Street in Elyria declined to comment.

A sign on the door said the pharmacy was closed today.

Investigators also raided the Southside Pharmacy in Lorain.

Customer Jamie Casey said she was inside the Elyria location when investigators entered the store around 9 a.m. and asked if she had any weapons. She said she and the pharmacist, who had been waiting for a delivery, were both escorted out of the store.

Casey said the agents didn’t tell her what they were looking for

“They didn’t say anything,” she said.
