Elyria police Capt. Chris Costantino said the man called police at 6:17 a.m. Monday after he found two bullet holes in the west side of his home. The bullets traveled through the walls into his kitchen and his infant daughter’s bedroom.
No one was hurt, according to Costantino.
The man told police he awoke to the sound of gunshots and a loud commotion in front of his home at 3 a.m., but Costantino said the man didn’t call police until he noticed the bullets later that morning.
Another resident, in the 400 block of Naples Drive, called police at 2:53 a.m. to report hearing 10 to 12 gunshots.
Officers arrived at the scene, but they found no one in the area.
