Stephen C. Bugg, 44, was accused of aiding in the theft of at least 20 electric guitars — each worth between $1,700 and $7,000 — and clothing from a CPS Delivery Systems warehouse where he worked.
At that time, Medina County sheriff’s Lt. Travis Colonius said more arrests were expected. Colonius said Monday no more arrests have been made, but the case is under investigation.
Bugg, who was arrested Dec. 20, was released from the county jail Dec. 25 on 10 percent of a $40,000 bond.
Medina County Common Pleas Judge Christopher J. Collier scheduled Bugg’s sentencing hearing for June 24 and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
As part of a plea deal, county Assistant Prosecutor Scott Salisbury said he didn’t intend to pursue prison time. It is not clear whether that meant the prosecutor would not ask for jail time.
The theft charge, a fourth-degree felony, is punishable by up to 1½ years behind bars.
