Lorain deputy clerk of courts arrested during drug raid

LORAIN — A deputy clerk of courts in Lorain Municipal Court was arrested this morning during a drug raid at a Columbo Lane home.

Sierra Dozier, 25, was charged with possession of marijuana, endangering children and permitting drug abuse, Lorain police Lt. Roger Watkins said.

Also arrested during the raid in which roughly 6 pounds of marijuana and around $1,000 in cash were seized, was Julio Osorio, 26. He was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of criminal tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple counts of possession of marijuana.

Watkins said the raid was part of an ongoing drug investigation, but during the search police also discovered evidence that Dozier may have been stealing from the clerk’s office. He declined to discuss the specifics of the suspected theft because that investigation is still ongoing.

He said both Dozier and Osorio were arrested without incident. A 3-year-old child was present in the home at the time of the raid.
