At 1:17 a.m. Sunday, police received a report from a caller that a driver was traveling recklessly on Broadway and that he had almost struck a telephone pole.
Police stopped a vehicle matching the description given by the caller, and an officer spoke with the driver, 20-year-old Angel Rolon.
Rolon told police that he had just left a wedding party, and he was taking his 14-year-old relative home. Police said Rolon smelled like alcohol, and he had poor balance.
Rolon was arrested after he admitted to drinking three beers and at least two shots of liquor, according to a police report. He registered a blood-alcohol concentration of .152, police said. Ohio law considers a driver impaired with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.08.
