Norma Jean “Jeannie” Hindman (nee Niblett), 63, of Elyria, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness. She was born January 20, 1950 in Cleveland and was an Elyria resident for the past 14 years.
Jeannie retired from the Perk Co./Tech Ready Mix Concrete Company in Cleveland, where she worked as a controller. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Robert “Bob”; daughter, Lizzie (Kris) Overstreet of Grafton; grandchildren, Zeali Jean, Kai, Elijaha and Rylan; step sons, Matt Hindman of Colorado and Rob Hindman of Ravenna; sisters, Terri Avsec of Georgia and Cheryl Niblett of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Norma Niblett; and a sister, Kathy Niblett.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Service will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
