Thursday, May 16

1:44 p.m. — 200 block Sumner St., a cooler bag with drug abuse instruments was found, along with a paper with a man’s name on it.

7:06 p.m. — West College Street, Sophie M. Meade, 20, of Kensington, Md., charged with theft at Gibson’s Food and Bakery.

9:45 p.m. — West College Street, Taia Kwinter, 20, of New York City, charged with theft at Gibson’s Food and Bakery.

Friday, May 17

8:43 p.m. — 100 block W. Lorain St., Oberlin College Safety and Security turns over a bag with suspected marijuana and paraphernalia to police for destruction.

10:59 p.m. — West College Street, Ariel M. Hughes, 21, of Oberlin, charged with theft of jelly and peanut butter from Gibson’s Food and Bakery.

Saturday, May 18

12:52 p.m. — 100 block S. Main St., steel sculpture of flower stolen from Full Circle Fuels.

Friday, May 17

7:54 p.m. — West Herrick Avenue, police officer dispatched to Checkers Pizza about a woman taking pills to commit suicide. An ambulance took the woman to the hospital for treatment.

Tuesday, May 21

1:28 a.m. — 600 block N. Main St., Daniel T. Bennett, 30, of Sullivan, charged with breaking and entering after police responded to an alarm at Boo’s Make and Take. The video system revealed Bennett as a suspect, according to police.

7:05 p.m. — Barker and Brown streets, Aaron Haas, 21, of Wellington, cited for dog at large after two people were reportedly bitten.
